Common Fraudulent Messages
- Fake delivery — "Your package is waiting, pay $2 fee"
- Bank alert — "Suspicious activity, verify your account"
- Prize winner — "You won! Click to claim"
- Tax refund — "CRA owes you money"
- Account suspended — "Netflix/Amazon account locked"
What to Do
- Don't click links — Go directly to official websites
- Don't reply — Confirms your number/email is active
- Report spam — Forward to 7726 (SPAM) for SMS
- Report phishing — spam@fightspam.gc.ca
- Block the sender
