Data Provided When Filing a Report
- First and last name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- City and postal code
- Description of the situation
- Date and location of the incident
- Amount involved
- Evidence (screenshots, documents)
Technical Data Collected Automatically
- IP address (for security)
- Device type and browser
- Pages visited
- Date and time of visit
Data We NEVER Collect
- Social Insurance Number (SIN)
- Full credit card number
- Banking passwords
- Biometric data
2. How Do We Use Your Data?
Your data is used only to:
- Process and analyze your report
- Contact you for follow-up on your file
- Generate anonymous statistics on types of fraud
- Improve our services
- Prevent abuse and false reports
We never sell or rent your data to third parties.
3. Data Sharing
Your data may be shared, only with your consent, with:
- Police authorities (SPVM, SQ, RCMP) if you request it
- The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre
- The Office de la protection du consommateur
- Your financial institution (if relevant)
Without your explicit consent, your data will never be shared, unless required by law (court order, criminal investigation).
4. Data Retention
- Reports: Retained for 7 years (in accordance with legal requirements)
- Technical logs: 90 days maximum
- Payment data: Processed by Stripe, not stored on our servers
You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

We implement rigorous security measures:
- SSL/TLS encryption for all communications
- Secure storage on servers in Canada
- Restricted data access (authorized personnel only)
- Two-factor authentication for administration
- Regular encrypted backups
